PERSONAL HEALTH STATEMENT
All E-2 visa applicants are required to submit a Personal Health Statement. Be sure to fill out the form as accurately as possible, since applicants will be required to complete a physical examination upon arrival in Korea. Don’t worry, they won’t make you do pushups or tread water. Their primary concern is that you are in good enough health to complete a year contract and don’t have communicable diseases that could pose a threat to national health. Korea also has very strict narcotic laws, and the physical exam will include a urinanalis for cannabinoids and other illegal substances. On the Personal Health Statement, you will be asked whether you have ever used these substances. Check NO, and be sure to refrain from all use in the 30 days prior to your arrival. If you fail the urinanalisis test, your visa will be revoked and all benefits (airfare, housing, etc.) will be rescinded.
